An SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) is a service that connects a company's PBX to the existing telephone system infrastructure (PSTN) via Internet using the SIP VoIP standard.
Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) is a general term for a family of transmission technologies for delivery of voice communications over IP networks such as the Internet or other packet-switched networks.
PRI (Primary Rate Interface) is a type of ISDN connection that is used for connections such as that between a PBX and a telephone company.
Note: For direct SIP (Into Cisco Call Manager equipment only), the call remains IP, no need to convert to ISDN Digital Format. Less conversions mean better quality.
