NOTICE: If you currently receive TEACH funding for your Internet transport circuit, please verify that your Internet Service Provider is an Authorized BadgerNet ISP. TEACH will not fund circuits to non-authorized ISPs.

The Department of Administration has awarded an opportunity to contract for the next generation network, hereinafter referred to as the BadgerNet converged network.

The BadgerNet converged network is intended to allow state government and its authorized users to purchase a single access circuit with multiple services. click here for additional details from the Wisconsin Department of Administration regarding the BadgerNet converged network procurement.

The BadgerNet converged network includes the following services: WAN service, interactive video service and Internet transport service. For each BadgerNet converged network location, users will select which service(s) they want to purchase along with an increment of bandwidth for each service(s).

BadgerNet converged network access circuits will be provisioned in a variety of sizes from 256K through Gigabit speeds. The access circuit will carry all chosen services to an aggregation node, which will then route the traffic to its respective destination.

Selected Internet service providers will be allowed to connect to the BadgerNet converged network in each of the four LATAs in the following cities: Madison, Milwaukee, Green Bay and Eau Claire.

Internet traffic from authorized BadgerNet converged network users will be exchanged via selected Internet Service providers at each of these locations. As an Internet service provider, you may choose to provide service to any or all of these four LATA locations. WiscNet and the primary vendor awarded the contract for the BadgerNet converged network will also be available Internet Service providers with connectivity at all four LATA locations.
